NJIT as a leading public technology research university is committed to advancing the highest quality basic, applied and translational research and scholarship fostering creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement and commitment to the highest level to professional ethics. We thrive to provide an exceptional academic and research and innovation experience to students at baccalaureate through doctoral levels.

NJIT research enterprise with outstanding faculty, researchers and external collaborators including experts from industry, government and corporate sectors focus on addressing current and future challenges of research, discovery and technology development towards making an economic impact in the local and global society.

The Office of 研究 is strategically committed to NJIT 2025 Strategic Plan on continuously enhancing multidisciplinary research and innovation environment and strengthening the overall research enterprise sponsored by government, industry and other agencies in full compliance with all policies and protocols of responsible conduct of research. The Office of 研究 also supports and pursues internal and external operations towards protection of results and transfer of inventions and technologies towards entrepreneurship and commercialization through New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), VentureLink and other corporate organizations.

NJIT is continuously growing its research enterprise averaging about $155 million of annual research expenditures with core and interdisciplinary research support from major government, industry and non-government agencies. NJIT research entertrtpise includes more than 140 research institutes, centers and specialized laboratories. Our external research funding has increased by moe than 127% in last five years. 

Your relationship to NJIT research enterprise is very important to us as we move forward towards the 2025 Strategic Plan developing new opportunities to advance research and knowledge base for developing future technologies and providing exceptional academic and research experience to students to serve the global society.
